Electrical engineering technicians typically assist electrical engineers with the design, development, production, testing, operation and maintenance of electrical equipment in industrial and commercial plants and laboratories. Like electrical engineers, electrical engineering technicians are employed by many industries. Tasks performed by electrical engineering technicians include producing detailed drawings, analysing schematics for electronic components and performing maintenance, repair and quality control inspections using a variety of tools and diagnostic and measuring devices.
